At the peak of rodeo season across Texas, organizers of the annual Lindale Championship Rodeo are busy squaring away the final details. From tightening the schedule to prepping the arena, they性视界传媒檙e getting ready to welcome crowds, cowboys, and a weekend full of tradition.

The 38th annual Lindale Championship Rodeo takes place Thursday through Saturday at the Cross Brand Cowboy Church Arena, located at 11915 FM 2015 in Tyler. According to organizers, there are around 500 contestants from all over Texas competing for more than $60,000 in prize money.
性视界传媒淲e want future generations to see that rodeo is important, that it is a sport,性视界传媒 Glover said. 性视界传媒淲e want to keep this a family tradition.性视界传媒
Founded in 1989 by Dennis Taylor, the Lindale Championship Rodeo has become a cornerstone in East Texas. Initially part of the United Professional Rodeo Association (UPRA) and partnered with Wing Rodeo Co., the event was created to showcase the region性视界传媒檚 rich rodeo history. Over the years, it has grown into a widely anticipated, family-friendly celebration.
Up until 2019, the rodeo was held at the Lindale Rodeo Arena, located near E.J. Moss Intermediate School in downtown Lindale. The event eventually relocated to the Cross Brand Cowboy Church Arena, offering a covered venue that further enhances the experience for spectators and competitors alike.
According to Glover, the rodeo has seen a dramatic increase in attendance since offering free admission in 2020. Last year, the rodeo saw 6,000 people come through the gates over the three-day event.

And in this day and age, you don性视界传媒檛 get to see true rodeo action unless you go to an event like the Lindale Championship Rodeo性视界传媒 we want to keep agriculture and rodeo and Western heritage at the forefront of people性视界传媒檚 minds.性视界传媒
While bull riding is always a crowd favorite, the rodeo also features bareback and saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing, mutton busting for children ages 6 and under, and more. In total, nine events take place throughout the weekend.
Each night, fans are encouraged to embrace the rodeo性视界传媒檚 themed attire. Thursday night is 性视界传媒楾ough Enough to Wear Pink性视界传媒 in support of breast cancer awareness. On Friday, attendees are encouraged to wear blue to show support for military members and first responders. Saturday night celebrates Western heritage, with fans invited to wear their favorite cowboy or cowgirl attire.

This year, the Lindale Championship Rodeo is supported by local and regional sponsors, with Peltier Chevrolet as the title sponsor and The Edwards Team at Century 21 First Group as the presenting sponsor. Chick-fil-A Lindale is the arena sponsor, while Christus Trinity Mother Frances and KLTV Channel 7 are featured as diamond and diamond media sponsors, respectively.
