BECKVILLE 12, C. ROADS 2: RUSK 性视界传媒 Bethany Grandgeorge did damage at the plate and in the circle for Beckville, and the Ladycats stayed alive in a best-of-three Class 2A regional championship series with a 12-2 rout of Cross Roads.

GUNTER 9, TATUM 2: DALLAS 性视界传媒 Top-ranked Gunter rallied from deficits of 1-0 and 2-1, scoring lone runs in the fourth and fifth innings and then putting things away with a five-run sixth on the way to a 9-2 win over Tatum in a Class 3A regional semifinal game at Dallas Baptist University.

CORSICANA 性视界传媒 District 17-4A champ Spring Hill traveled southwest to Corsicana High School for Wednesday afternoon性视界传媒檚 Class 4A Region III baseball semifinal series game one against District 23-4A three-seed Salado, and leaned on a pair of scoring surges to set up a 5-0 win and 1-0 series advantage.

C. ROADS 3, BECKVILLE 2: LINDALE 性视界传媒 Alanah Logan homered and also went the distance in the circle for Cross Roads, and the Lady Cats opened a Class 2A regional championship series with a 3-2 win over Beckville on Wednesday.

Four area baseball teams and one area softball team will continue their playoff journeys this week, with Spring Hill, Tatum, Harmony and Harleton hoping to advance to the regional semifinals and Beckville looking to punch its ticket to the UIL State Softball Tournament.

LOVEJOY 3, HALLSVILLE 2: FORNEY 性视界传媒 Matthew Mainard jumped on the first pitch in the bottom of the ninth inning, belting a solo home run and leading Lovejoy to a 3-2 walk off win against Hallsville to stay alive in a Class 5A regional quarterfinal series.

The versatility Jaymerson Darensbourg displayed as a Longview Lobo paid off on Friday when he became the 28th Longview athlete this school year to sign a national letter of intent during a ceremony at the LHS Turf Room.

7 ON 7: Chapel Hill will host a 7-on-7 football state qualifying tournament on Saturday.

BECKVILLE 12, MCLEOD 1: MARSHALL 性视界传媒 Bethany Grandgeorge did damage in the circle and at the plate for Beckville as the Ladycats earned a trip to the regional semifinals with a 12-1 win over McLeod in a one-and-done Class 2A regional quarterfinal game.
