Reforms needed
Whenever a federal department becomes political in its actions, it is no longer worthy or entitled to the trust of the American people.
This has happened in our Justice Department today. Their past bias toward Donald Trump is well documented. To make matters worse, no one has had to pay for those misdeeds. Trump faces numerous indictments currently, but being an American he is innocent until proven guilty.
There is little doubt in my mind that given the locales of future trials, convictions will occur. He will certainly challenge every conviction to higher courts. Then, if the Supreme Court (that did not help him in 2020) rules in favor of his appeal, he will then stand innocent in the eyes of the law.
Regardless of these outcomes, it is clear that reform is needed in our Justice Department. Any prosecutor/investigator having been found to abuse their authority must pay a serve price. Our nation rightfully condemns political persecution around the world. We must do the same when it happens here in America.
