Sue Munston Latham
LONGVIEW 性视界传媒 Born September 23, 1937, in Palestine, Texas, Patsy 性视界传媒淪ue性视界传媒 Muston Latham, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025. She was 87 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora Mae and Aubra Vascoe Muston and her sister, Peggy Jo Muston Martin McMillan.
Sue is survived by her husband, partner and caregiver of 47 years, Joe Ellis Latham. Others left to cherish her memory are her children Kathy Sue and Dan Lancaster, Tony Frank Rothrock III (Rocky), and Donna Jo and John Moses: her grandchildren Mitch Lancaster, Ryan Lancaster, Blake Lancaster, Leah Sue Lancaster, Macy and Connor Simpson and Mikayla and Ramsey Aviu and her great-granddaughters Sadie Jo Simpson and Delilah June Aviu (arriving December 2025). She will also be missed by nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
Sue spent most all of her years in Longview after moving with her family from Palestine, TX in 1947. Graduating from Longview High School in 1956, she attended business school and worked as a bookkeeper. She also served as a teacher性视界传媒檚 aide at Valley View Elementary.
A woman of grace, strength and kindness, she was the core of our family, always there with a listening ear, a warm hug, advice if requested and homemade waffles, on demand, any time of the day or night. For the grandkids there was nothing more special than spending the night with Mama Sue and Papa Joe. She was so proud of them all.
One of her pleasures, aside from her family, was being on the golf course with Joe or her girlfriends. Many days were spent loving this game, no matter the frustrations. This could only be rivaled by her love of playing bridge. This was her lifelong hobby and the many lifelong friends she encountered were the greatest reward.
The family would like to thank the staff of Arabella Memory Care and Harbor Hospice for their loving physical, emotional and spiritual care of Sue in her final months.
Sue was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ, with her final spiritual home being Alpine Church of Christ. Spending many years studying, she knew and shared so much of the bible and her faith with her friends and family.
Sue loved butterflies and red birds, always finding comfort in their presence. They brought her joy and will continue to remind us of her gentle spirit. She will be missed dearly by all.
Visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, 10am-Noon on Friday, July 11, 2025, and a graveside service will be held that same day at 2pm at Gum Springs Cemetery.
