Glenn and Shelley McDonald, of Longview, are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Sophie Claire McDonald, to Nathan Bruce Packard. Sophie is the granddaughter of Ed and Shirley Hightower of San Antonio, Texas and the late DeWitt and Addie McDonald of Longview. Nathan is the son of Bruce and Mary Packard, of Dallas, Texas. He is the grandson of Robert Packard and the late Joyce Packard and the late William D. and Betty Cook of Dallas.
Sophie is a 2010 graduate of Longview High School and 2014 graduate of Austin College with a degree in Political Science. Sophie, a resident of Dallas, is currently the Manager of a Learning Center.
Nathan is a 2010 graduate of Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas, and 2014 graduate of Austin College with a degree in Psychology. Nathan resides in Marshall, Minnesota where he is coaching Collegiate Football.
The ceremony is planned for December 23, 2016, in Dallas.
