SHENANDOAH, Pa. - Authorities have released new information about a deadly shooting in Schuylkill County.
It happened last Thursday, July 3, at a home on Centre Street in Shenandoah.
Police say they found two men dead, and a woman critically injured after forcing entry into the home.
Investigators have now identified one of the deceased men, Kevin Gordon, as the shooter. His fatal gunshot wound was self-inflicted, according to police.
The woman, who had been shot in the head, was flown to Geisinger Medical Center and died the next day, according to authorities.
According to Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Brownback, Shenandoah police were called around 1 a.m. on July 3, after a woman received a text saying everyone inside a home on the 300 block of Centre Street was dead.
Multiple police departments say they responded and forced entry due to the nature of the call.
"Once inside the residence they observed a juvenile male who said to them I need help and also, daddy just shot mom and Grandpa," said Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Ethan Brownback with Troop L Reading.
Officers found an older man deceased on the first floor, and shortly after, heard a gunshot upstairs. They then discovered Gordon deceased and the woman critically wounded on the second floor.
All three adult victims suffered gunshot wounds.
The juvenile male was physically unharmed and is safe, according to police.聽
