MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) has released photos and videos of a man in a wheelchair who allegedly brought a gun inside the Criminal Justice Center.聽

SCSO confirmed on Thursday that it was investigating a video that seems to show a man with a gun inside 201 Poplar.
Found circulating on social media, the video appears to show the man holding a gun with the location tag reading "Shelby County Criminal Justice Center." In it, the man says the gun is full auto as he shows off a Glock switch on its back.
In a statement, SCSO said Thursday that it had launched "a full criminal and internal investigation," adding that "those found to be responsible for violations will be held fully accountable under the law."
"Getting to the bottom of this is our top priority and many leads are being explored at this moment," SCSO said.
Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner Jr. also chimed in on the investigation.
"Let us be absolutely clear: Sneaking a firearm into a secure facility and broadcasting it on social media is a very serious threat to public safety," he said in a statement. "It is illegal and will not be tolerated."
SCSO said the firearm appears man brandishing the gun appears to be in the Shelby County Criminal Justice Center. "If the man was, in fact, inside the CJC with a real firearm, his reckless actions are flagrant violations of the law and endangered every person within the building and the community at large," the department said in a statement.
