(The Center Square)聽性视界传媒 The Georgia secretary of state's office is sending notices to 477,883 inactive voters as it continues an audit.
The list includes 180,473 voters who have likely moved out of state. The secretary of state's office identified the voters through the Electronic Registration Information Center, which it joined in 2021, according to a news release from Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger's office.
The office identified 105,848 records of voters who have not voted or had any activity in the past five years. More than 104,000 voters with undeliverable mail are also on the list.
The remaining 87,027 voters filed a change of address, according to the release.
This will be the second notice for the voters, who received one when they became inactive. Anyone who gets a notice has 40 days to respond, or they are removed from the state's voter rolls.
It is the largest mailing in eight years, according to Raffensperger.

Raffensperger said his office is also adding a verification tool that will check residential addresses when voters register.
