The Gasconade County Sheriff's Office officially Missouri Blue Shield designation Thursday from the Missouri Department of Public Safety.
The program,聽, recognizes local governments that work to improve public safety in their communities by reducing crime, fostering law enforcement collaboration and building strong partnerships in the community.

Blue Shield counties also receive grant funding for local law enforcement for training and equipment through the program to help achieve the long-term goal of building sustainable safe communities.
