SHREVEPORT, La. - Shreveport police are investigating a shooting that left a woman dead and a man with life-threatening injuries.
SPD responded around 7 a.m. to the intersection of South Windermere Drive and Beaufort Way. Outside the home, a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound.
Inside the home, officers found 40-year-old Corinthian Shepard. She was pronounced dead at the scene with a gunshot wound to the chest.
SPD arrested Richard Williams in connection with the shooting, charging him with Second Degree Homicide.
The death was the 19th homicide in Shreveport in 2025 with 24 homicides in Caddo Parish overall.
