From the beginning of time, God has initiated and sought to develop a personal relationship with humanity. He began with a direct relationship with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15-25). After their fall, he used divine revelation to communicate with families who followed the reluctant couple. God then elevated patriarchs like Moses and Joshua to positions of power and authority, displayed his awesome power through miracles and mysteries, and communicated with kings and prophets to encourage people to follow the one true God.

As followers of Christ, you and I are called to embody the character and demonstrate the love of Christ to others. One essential aspect of Christ性视界传媒檚 character is kindness, which encompasses a gentle spirit, compassion and selflessness.

Babe Ruth was a star pitcher and a great power hitter. He hit 714 home runs during his baseball career and is one of the most legendary figures in baseball history. Many would argue that he was the best baseball player of all time. But toward the end of his career, Ruth fumbled the ball and threw the ball badly, costing his team the game against the Reds in Cincinnati. Dejectedly 性视界传媒淭he Bambino性视界传媒� walked off the field headed toward the dugout when a crescendo of angry cries and boos rose to greet him. Their hero had let them down. Suddenly, a young boy jumped over the railing and ran out onto the field. With tears streaming down his face, the boy threw his arms around the legs of his hero.

Our staff writer Christian at the newspaper is an avid and experienced hunter. In one of his recent columns he wrote about the importance of the late spring and early-to-mid summer when it comes to making preparations for hunting excursions come fall. Hunters pack all the right stuff: safety equipment, maps, a compass, granola bars, boots, extra socks and good camo gear. Camouflage is critical, allowing a hunter to blend into the hunting environment and avoid alerting game.

I recently read an interesting anecdote regarding Sam Nunn. Nunn served as the Senator from Georgia for 24 years. After he announced that he wouldn性视界传媒檛 seek re-election, reporters wanted to know what he considered his greatest accomplishment during those years. He surprised them when he said keeping his family together and helping his wife raise two wonderful children was his most important accomplishment.
