A Longview woman has been charged after police say she struck and killed a person on a motorized scooter Friday night while intoxicated.
Candice Gearhart, 50, was released Saturday from the Gregg County Jail on $25,000 bond, charged with intoxication manslaughter with vehicle.
Police say Gearhart was driving north about 11:44 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Pine Tree Road when she hit the scooter.
The person on the scooter was taken to a Longview medical center and later died from the injuries.
Police did not identify the victim.
