Fourth of July festivities in Longview and surrounding communities are set to offer plenty of music, activities, food and fireworks as they kick off this weekend.

Gladewater

The Gladewater Chamber of Commerce annual Fireworks Show is set to begin at dark June 29 at the dam of Lake Gladewater.

Parking around parts of the lake is free, while parking inside the fenced area by the shore has a fee to help fund the show.

性视界传媒淧lease obey all city of Gladewater, City Hall park rules and laws regarding no fireworks or alcohol in the park area,性视界传媒 the Gladewater Chamber of Commerce said on Facebook.

Gilmer

The East Texas Yamboree Association is set to hold its annual Air and Fireworks Show, sponsored by Goudarzi & Young, beginning at 8 p.m. July 3 at the East Texas Yamboree Event Center, 181 Bob Glaze Drive in Gilmer.

A raffle drawing is set for 8 p.m., with an air show at 8:30 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m.

Radios set to 99.1 FM can listen to patriotic music along with the fireworks.

Longview

Tommy Castro & the Painkillers are set to perform July 4 at Longview性视界传媒檚 Fireworks and Freedom Celebration at the Longview Convention Complex.

Described as a soul-blues rocker, Castro is a California native who began playing the guitar at the age of 10.

The Fireworks and Freedom Celebration and outdoor concert are free to the public.

Texas natives Taylor Branch & the Lone Star Ramblers will open the concert. Other activities include a car show, petting zoo, cornhole tournament, hot dog-eating contest, trivia contest and a princess meet-and-greet.

The Fireworks and Freedom Celebration starts at 6 p.m. Thursday, with the concert following at 6:30 p.m. at the convention complex, 100 Grand Blvd.

The fireworks show starts at 9:30 p.m.

Kilgore

The Kilgore Fireworks Extravaganza is set to begin about 9:15 p.m. July 4 at Kilgore City Park on East North Street.

The Jukebox Heroes also are set to perform, and attendees are asked to bring chairs and blankets.

The fireworks will accompany a simulcast on KDOK 105.3 FM and 1240 AM.

In addition, hours at the Kilgore City Pool and the Lazy S Splash Ranch will be extended until 8:30 p.m.

Henderson

The city of Henderson性视界传媒檚 Freedom Festival is set to begin at 5 p.m. July 6 at Lake Forest Park.

The free event includes food vendors, bounce houses and games with a performance by the David Whiteman Band beginning at 6 p.m. and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Shuttle busses load at Henderson High School with a drop-off route inside Lake Forest Park.

Attendees are asked to bring blankets and chairs.
