Bagley Tractor & Equipment is planning a short move to a new home that will be built on the South Interstate Access Road in Longview.

The City Council on Thursday agreed to annex the approximately 11.5 acres east of Eastman Road and west of South Perry Street, where Bagley plans to move.

The council also agreed to designate land for heavy commercial use so the new tractor dealership may be built there. The company性视界传媒檚 home is at 3709 S. Eastman Road in Longview. That性视界传媒檚 about a quarter mile from where Bagley is planning to build the new location.

Bill and Laureen Bagley started the business about 23 years ago at a Gum Springs Road location they knew was too small to start with. The business soon moved to Eastman Road and later, in 2014, expanded at that location.

Some final approvals with the Texas Department of Transportation are needed before the project can proceed.

The current facility consists of about 16,000 square feet in two buildings. The proposed new building will be under one roof and be about 22,000 square feet.

Bill Bagley said the business is hoping to be in its new location in August.

New BBQ restaurant

It was a long road to get there, but Don Smith opened his Mo性视界传媒橮hat Smoke Shack on Friday at 401 W. Sabine St.

Smith, whose four adult children are assisting in the restaurant, said Mo性视界传媒橮hat serves traditional barbecue, turkey legs and brisket.

Smith said he named his restaurant in honor of his brother, Christopher Smith, who had a line of clothing called Mo性视界传媒橮hat Sportswear. He died in 2019.

The restaurant has a dining room that seats 15 people and also serves food to go. For now the restaurant is open 11:30 a.m.-sold out Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The attached car wash, Emphatical Wash and Detail, has been open about six months. It is open 24-7.
