Law enforcement search the area of the suspected remains.

Multiple law enforcement agencies descended on a section of the Otter Tail River, just west of Fergus Falls, starting late on Oct. 30, after someone discovered what was believed to be skeletal remains in the river.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff性视界传媒檚 Office and their posse, Fergus Falls Police and Fire Departments responded, at approximately 6:38 p.m., to a location in Buse Township.

Witnesses near the scene said there were posse members who stayed at the scene overnight, until the morning of Oct. 31, when the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) responded and as per protocol and out of an abundance of caution, were contacted when it involved possible human remains.

Lt. Greg Seim, with the Otter Tail County Sheriff性视界传媒檚 Office, said the remains were located and determined to be Halloween decorations that had been discarded in the river for what appeared to be an extended period of time.
